Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’ gets another new trailer.

The second trailer for Warner Bros. new Dune interpretation has landed.

Based on Frank Herbert’s 1965 science fiction novel of the same name, the film will cover the first part of his book with the hope of a sequel should the film be a commercial success. The remake is billed as a new interpretation of his book, rather than a direct remake of David Lynch’s 1984 film, following a complex story about the son of a noble family entrusted with the protection of the most valuable asset and most vital element in the galaxy.

The film is a mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, telling the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film features an all star cast including Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Charlotte Rampling, Oscar Isaac and Timothée Chalamet.

The film is currently set to land in UK cinemas on October 21st, 2021, with its Worldwide release starting on September 15th.
