Vertical Entertainment have released the first trailer for John Leguizamo’s feature directorial debut, Critical Thinking.
Based on a true story from 1998, five LatinX and Black teenagers from the toughest underserved ghetto in Miami fight their way into the National Chess Championship under the guidance of their unconventional but inspirational teacher.
Directed and also starring Leguizamo, the film also features Rachel Bay Jones, Michael Kenneth Williams and Corwin C. Tuggles.
Critical Thinking is set for release in the US on September 4th, 2020.
