Netflix have dropped the first trailer for their upcoming remake of Rebecca.
Based on the novel by Daphne Du Maurier, the film revolves around a young newlywed who arrives at her husband’s imposing family estate on the windswept English coast finding herself battling the shadow of his first wife, Rebecca, whose legacy lives on in the house long after her death.
Directed by Ben Wheatley, the film stars Lily James, Armie Hammer, Sam Rikey, Keeley Hawes and Kristin Scott Thomas.
Despite Alfred Hitchcock making a pretty good version already, Netflix’s slightly more modern take on Rebecca lands worldwide on October 21st, 2020.
