Nicolas Cage stars in the new trailer for neo-noir western post-apocalyptic action thriller Prisoners of the Ghostland.
In the treacherous frontier city of Samurai Town, a ruthless bank robber is sprung from jail by a wealthy warlord, The Governor, whose adopted granddaughter has run away. Strapped into a leather suit that will self-destruct within five days if he doesn’t find the missing girl, the bandit sets off on a journey to find the young woman — and his own path to redemption.
Directed by Sion Soto, the film also stars Sofia Boutella, Bill Mosley, Nick Cassavetes and Tak Sakaaguchi.
The film lands in the US in Theaters, On Demand and on Digital HD from September 17th, 2021. The films UK release is still up in the air, with the film set to hit the BFI London Film Festival in October.
