Amazon Prime Video UK has secured the UK rights to the coming of age spy-thriller series, Alex Rider.
Based on the novels of the same name by Antony Horowitz, the show will explore the second book in the series where London teenager Alex Rider is recruited by MI6 to infiltrate a controversial corrective academy for the wayward offspring of the ultra-rich. Alex reluctantly assumes a new identity and goes undercover in a remote boarding school called Point Blanc. The show will premiere on Prime Video in the UK on June 4th, with all 8 episodes available for UK Prime members to stream.
Andreas Prochaska directs the series, with Otto Farrant starring as Alex. The cast also features Stephen Dillane, Vicky McClure, Brenock O’Connor, Ronkẹ Adékọluẹ́jọ́, Ace Bhattii, Marli Siu and Andrew Buchan.
