Nintendo have just announced at their latest Nintendo Direct, that along with the fantastic new Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games that are coming to the Switch Online Expansion Pack, a new jaw-dropping trailer The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has arrived.
The highly anticipated Switch sequel to Breath of the Wild hasn’t had an update in a while, but as the games release gets ever closer, Nintendo gave us a fresh trailer as the games promotional cycle ramps up.
In this sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you’ll decide your own path through the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule and the mysterious islands floating in the vast skies above. Can you harness the power of Link’s new abilities to fight back against the malevolent forces that threaten the kingdom?
Nintendo also announced a new collector’s edition of the upcoming game, featuring a SteelBook case, an official artwork book, a metal poster and some mysterious pin badges.
The Link (Tears of the Kingdom) amiibo will also launch alongside the game on May 12th. By tapping this amiibo, you can receive weapons and materials, as well as a special fabric for Link’s paraglider.
If you scan an amiibo from The Legend of Zelda series, you can receive helpful materials, weapons or a paraglider fabric based on the amiibo you scanned.
