The ‘Small Axe’ anthology series gets a new trailer.

Anthology series Small Axe has released its latest trailer, depicting the brutal hardships brought upon London’s West Indian community between the 1960’s and 1980’s.

Small Axe is collection of five films by Academy Award and Bafta-winning filmmaker Steve McQueen. The films are inspired by real-life events about ordinary people showing courage, belief, and resilience to overcome injustice and achieve something transformative in their West Indian community.

The first film in the series, titled Mangrove, is set to be released on Amazon Prime on November 20th, with each subsequent story released weekly. Small Axe will also air in the UK on BBC and iPlayer.

Featuring amongst the five films cast are stars John Boyega, Letitia Wright, Micheal Ward, Malachi Kirby, and Kedar Williams-Stirling.
