Neon have dropped the first official trailer for Ammonite, starring Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan.
Set in 1840’s England, acclaimed but overlooked fossil hunter Mary Anning and a young woman sent to convalesce by the sea develop an intense relationship, altering both of their lives forever.
Directed by Francis Lee, the film also stars Fiona Shaw, Alec Secareanu, Sam Parks, Sarah Jones and Gemma Jones.
Ammonite will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September and also close this year’s London Film Festival.
The film is set to open in UK cinemas on October 17th, with a US release on November 13th.
