The much-delayed X-Men spin-off The New Mutants may finally make it to cinemas this summer.
Having had trouble with its production and release date window since way back in 2017, largely due to Disney’s purchase of the X-Men rights via its Fox purchase, another new release date has now been set. Having previously been set to open in April, Disney have re-shuffled again and The New Mutants will now be opening in cinemas on August 28th, 2020.
In the film, five young mutants, including Magik and Wolfsbane, are held in a secret facility against their will, fighting to escape their past sins and save themselves in the process.
Directed by Josh Boone, the film stars Maisie Williams, Alice Braga, Anya Taylor-Joy and Charlie Heaton.
