Netflix has dropped the first trailer for its upcoming comedy-drama The Starling.
After Lilly (Melissa McCarthy) suffers a loss, a battle with a territorial bird (the Starling) over dominion of her garden provides an unlikely avenue for her grief and the courage to heal her relationships and rediscover her capacity for love.
Directed by Ted Melfi, the film also stars Chris O’Dowd, Daveed Diggs, Laura Harrier, Loretta Devine and Timothy Olyphant.
The Starling lands on selected US big screens on September 17th, before hitting on Netflix on September 24th, 2021.
